Oyebanji Re-election 2026: Ejioye Leads Ekiti Grassroots Surge

Prince Ayorinde Isaac Ejioye ignites Ekiti’s youth with bold vision, actionable master plan and unwavering faith. He has been audacious with rallies, grassroots community engagements, organising town hall meetings, and delivering tangible relief — especially the Okada fuel subsidy called ‘Epo BAO’ (BAO’s fuel). Hence, his massive mobilisation towards the governor’s re-election remains unwavering. However, the campaign launch of the governor’s re-election is on April 27, 2026, at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, and the turnout will electrify the entire state.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State

Why Biodun Oyebanji Deserves a Second Term in Ekiti State

Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s first term in Ekiti State has delivered transformative progress. He revitalised infrastructure with over 300 km of rehabilitated rural roads and launched the Ekiti ICT Park — Africa’s first state-owned digital innovation hub. His administration achieved full salary regularisation for civil servants, introduced free maternal healthcare, and expanded scholarship access to 20,000 students annually. The “Ekiti Agro-Industrial Hub” spurred youth agri-entrepreneurship, generating over 12,000 jobs. Critically, he restored fiscal discipline – eliminating arrears and earning a AAA credit rating from Agusto & Co.

Strategic Community Engagement Ignites Campaign Momentum

Ayo, as he is fondly called, has launched an intensive grassroots mobilisation drive across the Oye/Ikole Local Government Area. Furthermore, he coordinated the Eid festival celebrations for Muslim communities throughout the region. In addition, he organised the Easter ceremonies for Christian residents with equal enthusiasm and commitment. Importantly, he financially assisted thousands of students across Ekiti State institutions alongside the federal government’s student loan through NELFUND. Furthermore, he conducted heart-to-heart dialogues with community leaders in every village within Oye/Ikole. He listened intently to residents’ concerns about economic challenges and infrastructure development.

Fuel Relief Initiative Sparks Unprecedented Rider Support

Recently, Prince Ejioye implemented a landmark fuel relief programme for Okada riders in the Oye Local Government Area. The Ikole business mogul and philanthropist covered the full cost of fuel for every registered motorcycle operator in the area under the coinage of “Epo BAO”. Additionally, he distributed branded caps and jackets to all the beneficiaries. Consequently, this initiative directly addressed, to an extent, among the riders, the global fuel price crisis intensified by geopolitical tensions. Hence, providing immediate economic relief to transportation workers facing mounting operational costs is a step in the right direction.

Furthermore, this initiative was carried out together with the Assistant Director-General of the BAO Campaign Council (Ekiti North) and the Chief (Mrs) Olaleye Kemisola Christiana, the gatekeeper of Oye Local Government. Ejioye described this action as a way to bolster mobilisation efforts for the governor’s re-election and as a sign of gratitude for the governor’s exceptional and inclusive leadership.

Such initiative demonstrated tangible support for grassroots economic actors during challenging times. Invariably, this has strengthened community ties between political leadership and everyday citizens. No doubt, the initiative has transformed transportation operators into enthusiastic campaign ambassadors for Governor Oyebanji.

BAO/MCA Campaign Flag-Off Marks Historic Political Moment

The official BAO/MCA re-election campaign commenced on April 27, 2026, at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti. Prince Ejioye spearheaded preparations for this historic event across many constituencies, especially the Oye/Ikole LGA. He has taken it upon himself to mobilise youth organisations, business associations, and religious groups for maximum participation. Also, he has refused to act as an ordinary invitee to the official campaign launch but as a major stakeholder. Ayo so much believes in the competency and abilities of the governor; hence, he gives unconditional support. He has positioned the event as a unifying moment for Ekiti’s developmental trajectory under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership.
