Early Life
Asari Dokubo, born Melford Dokubo Goodhead Jr. on June 1, 1964, in Buguma, Rivers State, Nigeria. Additionally, he is a prominent political figure and activist of the Ijaw ethnic group. Nevertheless, he is best known as the founder of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF), a militant group. He played a significant role in advocating for the rights and autonomy of the Niger Delta region.
